A Romanian white wine was declared the “International Revelation” of the Brussels 2024 World Competition, held in Guanajuato, Mexico, between June 7 and 9. Chardonnay Barrique Issa 2022 (12% vol alc, dry) is produced by oenologist Ioan Ovidiu Maxim at the Transylvanian winery Crama La Salina, from Turda, on the hills in close proximity to the ancient salt mining in the locality.
The wine is priced at around 12 euros, which makes it a double revelation – not only in terms of quality, but also in terms of price. The success of the Romanian oenologist is likely to draw the attention of wine lovers from all over the world to Romania and give a boost to tourism at our wineries in the country.
Chardonnay Barrique Issa 2022 has a market price of around 12 euros at the time of announcement, being produced in a limited edition.
