Carmolimp, a meat producer from Brașov, has invested over 1.5 million euros in the development of “Litălși”, which will be officially launched next month in New York.
The product was conceived for the Romanian market, but will be launched at the Romania Day event, which will take place on June 16 in New York, on the famous Broadway Boulevard.
“It’s time to bring the most interesting traditional Romanian products to the heart of one of the most popular cities in the world – New York. Basically, we will close Broadway for a day and bring Romanian culture and small traditionals to the fore. We also want to open a new market for the ‘little ones’ that we are so used to, but which the Americans are only now discovering. However, we will focus on developing the Romanian market, which will be the core of this business. In Romania, we want to build the strongest small brand on the market, which comes with a franchising system and a delivery and business promotion application”, said Valentin Soneriu, director of Carmolimp.
He added that the project started more as a joke, “out of a desire to do things differently.”
The Romania Day on Broadway event started in 2000 and is in its 23rd edition, being organized in partnership with the Embassy of Romania in the United States of America, the Consulate General of Romania in New York and the Romanian Cultural Institute.
